CNC Maintenance Technician - Grand Rapids

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift from 5:30 pm to 5:30 am, Monday through Thursday. This role involves performing highly diversified duties to install and maintain production CNC machines and the plant facility's equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production CNC machines and the plant facility's equipment.
• Provide emergency and unscheduled repairs to production CNC equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Execute simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Exhibit mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting, and repair of production CNC machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work tasks to perform required maintenance services.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and adjust.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
• Conduct a variety of plumbing, fabrication, maintenance, and carpentry functions.
• Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, electric Multimeters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
• Perform heavy manual labor.
• Operate Hilo and Aerial lift.
• Maintain continuity among team members by documenting and communicating daily tasks.
• Operate and navigate skills on a computer system.

Work Environment

This position operates on the 2nd shift from 5:30 pm to 5:30 am, Monday through Thursday. The role involves working in a machine shop setting, requiring the use of various tools and equipment, including hand and power tools, electric Multimeters, and material handling equipment. The dress code is appropriate for a machine shop environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $31.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
