Associate Attorney (Construction)

A respected mid-sized law firm with a statewide education law practice is seeking a Construction Attorney to join its Business, Property, and Construction Law Practice Group. Locations (Hybrid): San Francisco, Long Beach, San Diego, Sacramento, East Bay, Fresno This is a great opportunity to work with public entities on impactful construction and infrastructure matters across California. What You’ll Do: Advise on public procurement and contract negotiation Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including: Construction contracts Professional services agreements (design & construction management) Contracts for equipment, materials, and supplies Handle matters involving bid protests, change orders, delay claims, and payment disputes Support or participate in litigation and dispute resolution (as needed) What We’re Looking For: Minimum 5+ years of experience in construction law Strong background in public procurement and contracting Familiarity with construction-related claims and dispute processes Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail Team-oriented with the ability to work independently Public entity experience preferred (not required) #J-18808-Ljbffr Newport Williams
