Practice Manager - Healthcare (Law Firm)

FlechaConnect is partnering with a nationally recognized Am Law firm to identify a Practice Manager to support its Healthcare Practice Group. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a law firm professional who enjoys driving strategy, operations, financial performance, attorney development, and business growth within a sophisticated legal practice. The Practice Manager serves as a trusted advisor to Practice Group leadership and works closely with attorneys and firm management to improve operational efficiency, profitability, talent development, client service, and long-term strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Practice Operations Partner with Practice Group Chairs and practice leadership to execute strategic initiatives and business objectives Oversee day-to-day operations of the Healthcare Practice Group Develop and implement processes that improve efficiency, collaboration, and service delivery Serve as the primary liaison between attorneys and key business departments including Finance, Marketing, Recruiting, HR, Professional Development, and IT Support technology adoption and operational innovation, including AI-driven solutions and workflow improvements Analyze practice group financial performance, profitability, utilization, and key business metrics Assist with budgeting, forecasting, expense management, and revenue optimization Partner with Finance and Revenue teams to improve practice economics and support alternative fee arrangements Monitor accounts receivable and collaborate on collection initiatives Attorney Development & Talent Management Support attorney staffing, utilization, professional development, and succession planning efforts Partner with Recruiting on lateral hiring initiatives and workforce planning Collaborate with Professional Development teams to support attorney training and career growth Mentor and manage Practice Management team members as appropriate Business Development & Growth Partner with Business Development and Marketing teams on strategic growth initiatives Support client development efforts, pitches, RFP responses, and industry-focused initiatives Help identify opportunities to strengthen market position, client relationships, and practice group visibility Qualifications 5+ years of experience within a law firm or professional services environment Prior law firm experience strongly preferred Experience in Practice Management, Legal Operations, Professional Development, Business Development, Attorney Recruiting, Finance, or another law firm management function Strong understanding of law firm economics, profitability, attorney utilization, and practice group operations Proven ability to build trusted relationships with attorneys and firm leadership Exceptional organizational, analytical, and project management skills Demonstrated leadership experience, including team supervision and cross‑functional collaboration Excellent written and verbal communication skills Work Arrangement This position offers a hybrid work schedule consisting of three days in the office and two days remote. Once established in the role and after building strong relationships within the practice group, additional flexibility may be available.
