Receiving Supervisor

Pay Range: $19.00 – $27.80 Purpose The Overnight Receiving Supervisor is responsible for directing and overseeing the warehouse operations of each retail store, supervising warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators. The role manages the daily freight schedule based on customer and inventory needs. Eligibility Requirements 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience required (preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment) Excellent interpersonal, team‑building, delegating and follow‑up skills Ability to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments Effective oral and written communication skills Competent in performing basic mathematical calculations Strong computer skills, including Windows‑based systems Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet established deadlines Availability to work extended hours, especially during peak seasons Essential Functions Daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper manning for shipping and receiving Direct day‑to‑day activities of the warehouse, including shipping, receiving, maintenance, and inventory control Management of warehouse safety programs and OSHA compliance Provision of preventive maintenance for warehouse equipment and coordination of repairs with CEM and/or Operations Manager Training of all associates and enforcement of standard operating procedures Progressive disciplinary process including counseling, oral & written warnings, and labor climate maintenance Handling of general employee inquiries and problem resolution Coordination with other departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operations Completion of necessary Activity Reports for management Monitoring paperwork flow from Receiving to Inventory Control Specialist for timely data entry Resolution of discrepancies with shipping invoices, packing slips, and receiver reports Execution of the Storage Buy Audit COP, ensuring proper product staging and storage Overseeing inventory rotation within the warehouse Other duties as directed by management, maintaining integrity of company operations and reputation Physical and Sensory Requirements Ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally and 20–30 pounds frequently; may involve lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and moving objects. Frequent standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and stooping are required. Work Conditions Employee is frequently exposed to a moderate-to-noisy warehouse environment with moving vehicles. Hours may include extended periods during peak seasons.
