Responsibilities TheAccessibleTransportationCoordinator(ATC)position will be co-locatedataclient’sofficeinAlameda County. The on-site schedule is to bedetermined.The core responsibilities are outlined below. TheATCwillsupportplanningeffortsforcities, transit agencies, and Alameda County. The ATC will alsoserve asa primary pointof contact fordevelopinganddeliveringtransportation programs and service solutionsforolder adults and people with disabilities, with a focus onparatransitand relatedsystems. The ideal candidatewillpossessa broad range ofprograms, equity, and administrativeexperience and have successfully managed transportation projects and budgets.TheATCwill work both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidatefor this rolewill be asked tosharepreviouswork examples anddemonstratesignificantexpertisein a range oftransportationtopics, equity frameworks and analysis, community outreach,and stakeholder coordination. Essentialresponsibilities will include the following: Project management support including implementation schedule development and maintenance, meeting coordination, agenda preparation, action item tracking, and budget support Advisory committee administration including master calendar management, meeting coordination and facilitation, agenda development, committee support, and regional workshop participation Public outreach and partner agency coordination including outreach planning, subconsultant and community partner coordination, public information distribution, website content review, and response to public inquiries Mobility management support including countywide mobility management planning, program enhancements, and participation in regional mobility management activities Paratransit funding administration including support for policy and performance measure updates, data collection andanalysis,andfunding coordination Access for All (AFA) program coordination including monthly meeting participation, funding call support,quarterly reporting activities, andclient updates Qualifications and Requirements Above all, weare looking for someone who: Has a genuine interest in and enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service and helping people navigate their options Has a passion for sustainableand accessibletransportation planning Isan inquisitive self-starter and a natural problem solver Understands the connection between transportation and equity and is committed to incorporating equity, diversity, and inclusion into their work Is interested in working with our diverse clients and communitiesin the Bay Areato create moreequitable, livable, and sustainable mobility systems through community-based efforts Has a passion for advancing equity through community-based efforts, including engagement withthe disability communityandBIPOC communities, and willdemonstratean ability to work effectively with diverse communities At a minimum, the candidate should meet the following qualifications: At leastsix (6)years in increasinglyresponsible experience in transportation,programs,planning,communicationsor administration A bachelor’s degree in transportation planning,communications and marketing,economics, public policy,social sciences, ora related field. A master’s degree in one of these fields ispreferred. Demonstrated experience orexpertise in lieu of precise educational attainment may also meet this requirement. Excellent written, verbal, and other communication skills, including facilitation of public workshops Knowledge of paratransit and/oraccessible service needs of older adults and people with disabilities The ability to managecomplexprojects on time and on budget Advancedproficiencywith Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint The ideal candidate will be excited to take on the following opportunities: Work successfully with clients, members of the public, and project teams Creatively solve transportation problems Outline and prepare successful proposals and reports Analyze a wide range of transportation data and manage the completion of technical analyses, feasibility studies, and other transportation reports Prepare and give effective presentations Participate in firmwide activities to ensure that we continue to build on our mission and core values Salary and Benefits The annual salary range for this positionis $104,630to $127,881,dependingon qualificationsand years of experience.
