Tax Analyst

Venteon is currently seeking a Tax Analyst to fill an opening with an industry leading, well-established and successful multi-business holdings company based in Metro Detroit. Requirements of the Tax Analyst Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field CPA certification is required; Master of Science in Taxation is preferred Minimum 2 years of progressive tax experience including experience with consolidated returns Extensive knowledge of federal, state and local tax laws and regulations Proven experience in tax strategy development and implementation Excellent interpersonal skills and keen attention to detail Benefits of the Tax Analyst Excellent salary + bonus, profit share and company paid benefits Competitive paid time-off program Opportunity for career development and future promotion Responsibilities of the Tax Analyst Assist with the calculation of the annual income tax provision under ASC 740 Support the preparation of the corporation’s federal, state and local income tax returns, including fixed asset reconciliations, apportionment and other supporting workpapers Utilize tax preparation software to import trial balances, update account mapping and prepare tax returns Prepare tax filings for non-income tax matters, including sales and use tax, property tax, excise tax, and other related filings Calculate quarterly estimated tax payments and annual extensions to ensure compliance with all tax obligations Assist with research and responses to federal, state and local governmental audits and notices Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and information necessary to complete assignments Identify and implement improvements to streamline tax processes We treat all resumes with strict confidentiality.
