Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Certification with the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC): ESN, M/S, or an equivalent required
• Experience supporting students with moderate to severe disabilities at the high school level preferred
• Commitment to advocating for students and differentiating instruction to foster individual growth
• Strong communication skills to effectively partner with staff, families, and support personnel
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive, solution-focused approach

What You'll Do:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals and abilities
• Foster an inclusive, respectful classroom climate that encourages participation and social-emotional growth
• Adapt curricular materials and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Regularly assess student progress and adjust instructional plans accordingly
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state regulations
• Engage in ongoing professional development and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Serve as a supportive resource for students, parents, and colleagues

This contract position offers a pay rate between $40 and $50 per hour, depending on experience and credentials.
