Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Summary:
The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) provides critical care to patients in a high-volume Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center. This role involves delivering specialized emergency nursing services, ensuring patient safety, and coordinating care across multiple departments.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize incoming patients, providing appropriate emergency interventions.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner electronic health records system.
• Educate patients and families on clinical conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and clinical guidelines to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a registered nurse.
• At least 1 year of recent experience in an emergency room setting within a Level 2 trauma or comprehensive stroke center.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• Hold certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC (or willing to obtain within specified timelines).
• Demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, and strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
