Travel Registered Nurse - PICU
Location: Wichita, KS
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: 7A - 7P
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a position in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at a Level II Trauma center. The ideal candidate will work closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to critically ill children.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive and compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients in the ICU.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage IV starts and blood draws.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including intensivists and respiratory therapists.
- Assist in procedures such as TPT placements.
- Educate and support families regarding patient care and treatment plans.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital PICU RN experience.
- BLS & PALS certifications are required; additional certifications are preferred.
- Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) is a plus.
- APHON Pediatric Teaching Hospital Experience is advantageous.
