Telemetry Registered Nurse

The position requires a Registered Nurse with a minimum of one year of experience in a Medical/Surgical or Telemetry setting. Candidates should be comfortable with a nurse-patient ratio of 5:1 during the day and 6:1 at night. A strong background in acute care is essential. Experience in procedures such as TURPS-CBI is preferred. Nurses will work as part of a team and may be expected to collaborate with LPNs. The unit can accommodate a small pediatric population, but travelers with prior experience may be prioritized. Comfort with starting IVs is necessary, as there are limited resources onsite. The charge nurse will maintain an assignment during their shift. Nurses may be required to float to similar units as needed. Weekend and holiday shifts are required, with expectations for rotation. Basic tele arrhythmia knowledge is essential, as RNs will monitor telemetry. The contract includes the potential for being placed on call or standby. All RNs must clock in and out during their shifts.
