Position Overview

We are seeking a highly collaborative Tableau Developer / Data Insights Analyst to join OneBlood's growing Data Science and Analytics team. This role will focus heavily on Tableau dashboard development, SQL-based analytics, and translating donor and operational data into meaningful business insights that drive strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building interactive dashboards, analyzing trends and behaviors within large datasets, and presenting actionable insights to both technical and executive stakeholders. This position is analytics-focused rather than heavy coding or data engineering, working primarily with curated "gold layer" datasets within an evolving medallion architecture environment. This is an exciting growth-oriented opportunity with exposure to future AI and advanced analytics initiatives within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reporting solutions to support donor analytics, operational performance, and strategic business initiatives
• Develop and optimize SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data from enterprise data sources
• Translate complex datasets into actionable business insights through dashboards, visualizations, trend analysis, and executive-level presentations
• Partner closely with business stakeholders, leadership teams, and IT to gather reporting requirements and deliver scalable analytics solutions
• Analyze donor behavior, operational trends, and key performance indicators to support data-informed decision-making
• Support Tableau administration activities including dashboard publishing, permissions, data source management, and performance optimization
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis using analytical and statistical techniques to identify patterns, opportunities, and process improvements
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions to identify reporting gaps, improve existing dashboards, and enhance analytics capabilities
• Ensure dashboard quality, consistency, governance, and reporting best practices across analytics solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams supporting future AI, predictive analytics, and data science initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Tableau development, business intelligence, dashboard development, data analytics, or reporting solutions
• Strong hands-on experience developing Tableau dashboards and data visualizations
• Strong SQL skills with experience querying and analyzing relational databases
• Experience translating business requirements into reporting and analytical solutions
• Ability to present analytical findings and business insights to leadership and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience analyzing large datasets and identifying trends, patterns, and actionable recommendations
• Strong understanding of reporting best practices, dashboard design, and data storytelling
• Experience working within Agile or collaborative cross-functional environments
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Power BI or additional BI/reporting tools
• Familiarity with medallion architecture and gold-layer reporting datasets
• Experience with Tableau Server/Online administration and governance
• Knowledge of applied statistics, trend analysis, regression analysis, or hypothesis testing
• Exposure to healthcare, donor analytics, operational analytics, or customer behavior analysis
• Experience supporting AI, predictive analytics, or data science initiatives
• Tableau certification or other BI/data analytics certifications preferred
