Automotive Service Technician

Mobile Service TechnicianThe Mobile Service Technician is a unique position that covers field service repairs. This position would be responsible for traveling to client locations and will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining and repairing Lucid Motors vehicles in the field. Lucid provides Mobile Service Technicians with a service van or truck and provides the needed tools. This fixed operation position will work independently as well as a team where you will have the support of the closest service location. You will demonstrate your passion for sustainable transportation and creatively solve problems in a fast-paced environment. As a Mobile Service Technician, it is expected to have ASE certifications obtained within 6-8 months of hire date. Lucid will reimburse the cost associated with successful completion.Responsibilities:Function as a Service Advisor and perform parts department duties including ordering, returns, and inventory managementWork directly with clients to provide a high level of customer experienceEffectively work with the appropriate software suite to properly and completely document all customer vehicle interactionsMaintain a high knowledge level of High Voltage (HV), Low Voltage (LV), and general Electric Vehicle (EV) systemsProperly perform the walk-around and write-up processes, accurately ascertaining primary concern through verbal interview and visual assessment to assess client needs accuratelyAccurately document client concerns for diagnosis and repairFollow correct repair order documentation procedures, i.e. The Three C'sInvoice and collect paymentPerform customer service duties such as answer phones, scheduling appointments (where needed), and calling customers to update them on repair status, or to follow up after repairs are completedReview appointment schedule to plan travel time and visit duration for mobile servicesProvide support at Service Center based on demandAbility to travel in assigned territory and other service locationsOther duties as assignedQualifications:2-5 years of experience as an automotive service technicianSelf-sufficient, highly organized and comfortable working independently and as part of a teamKnowledge of High Voltage systems, Low Voltage systems, and Electric Vehicle powertrainCustomer facing experience exhibiting excellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office as well as learn proprietary DMS softwareEPA 609 CertificationWillingness to complete Lucid provided CPR training post hireValid driver's license with no suspensions within the past year. Drivers under 21 must have maintained a Driver's License for a minimum of 3 years and successfully complete Lucid Training upon hirePreferred Qualifications:ASE Certifications (A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, L3, L4 - ADAS)Previous Mobile Service Technician experiencePrevious experience with EV diagnosis and repairExperience in luxury automobile repair environmentsAt Lucid, we don't just welcome diversity - we celebrate it!
