Technical Writer We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Writer to join our team! As a Technical Writer for Peerless Instrument, you will perform various tasks to develop, maintain, and revise technical documentation for company products, systems, and programs. This role creates technical publications and interfaces with engineering, manufacturing, quality, program management, and other subject matter experts to ensure technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. You will maintain configuration control of documents and procedures and perform word processing and formatting to organizational, and customer established standards and requirements. Location: East Farmingdale, NY Target Salary Range: $65,000 to $80,000 per year Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in New York. Your Challenge Ensure technical documentation adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format and style Perform technical and editorial reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, completeness, readability and compliance with applicable standards Translate technical information into clear, concise, and user-focused documentation Recommend improvements to documentation processes, templates, workflows, and publishing practices Formats all technical publications from internal forms and procedures to complete technical manuals Your Expertise Bachelor Degree or equivalent Minimum three (3) years experience creating technical documentation Strong understanding of technical writing principles and documentation lifecycle management, and publication development processes Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) Skilled in editing, proofreading, and maintaining tone, accuracy, and consistency across deliverables Your Competencies Action oriented and independent worker Communicates effectively Collaborates well with multiple departments What we offer Curtiss-Wright invests in the development, recruitment, and retention of critical skills as part of its model for business success.
