Medical AssistantSalary Range $15.00 Position Type Full Time Category Health CareDescriptionNew CMA hires are eligible for a $1,250 sign-on bonus. The Medical Assistant works as part of the clinic provider team and assists the provider in the provision of primary health care and provides invaluable support to the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Team. The Medical Assistant provides limited direct patient services and performs specifically designated independent procedures. Duties include:Assisting with provider support activities related to patient care and patient educationPerforming data entry, such as documenting chronic medical conditions, preventive services, and medication reconciliationCoordinating patient check-out and follow-upScheduling appointmentsObtaining blood samplesCleaning exam roomsAnswering phone calls*Please indicate on your application if you are interested in working in pediatrics, adult, or both.QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma or GED and completion of Medical Assistant courseLicensure: Certificate in medical assistance.
