Hotel General Manager

Overview An established full-service hotel in the Miami market is seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead the property through a critical period of operational stabilization, renovation, and brand transition. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced hotel executive who can balance day-to-day operational excellence while overseeing significant property improvements and preparing the hotel for its next phase of growth. Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and direction across all hotel departments, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, Finance, and Engineering Stabilize current hotel operations and elevate overall guest satisfaction, service delivery, and team performance Lead the execution of a major renovation project while maintaining operational consistency and financial performance Prepare the hotel for a successful brand transition, ensuring compliance with all brand standards, audits, and operational requirements Drive revenue growth, market share, profitability, and cost-control initiatives Develop, mentor, and retain department leaders while creating a culture of accountability and execution Partner closely with ownership, asset management, and brand representatives on strategic initiatives and project milestones Maintain a strong presence within the local business community and airport market Ensure all operational, safety, and quality standards are consistently achieved throughout the transition process Qualifications Previous General Manager experience in a full-service hotel environment Strong experience operating within the IHG system required Direct Holiday Inn brand experience strongly preferred Experience leading or supporting hotel renovations, repositioning projects, or brand conversions Proven success improving hotel performance through disciplined operational and financial leadership Strong understanding of IHG brand standards, quality assurance requirements, and guest satisfaction metrics Experience working with ownership groups, asset managers, and brand leadership teams Hands‑on leadership style with the ability to drive accountability across all departments Strong communication, team‑building, and organizational leadership skills Airport hotel experience is a plus Performance-based bonus opportunity Location: Doral, Florida Benefits Competitive compensation package with performance-driven incentives tied to results and project execution #J-18808-Ljbffr Gecko Hospitality (Corporate)
