Operations Claims Processor

About the Role As a member of the Money Out/Claims team, you will process a variety of transactions disbursing funds to participants, including loans, non‑periodic distributions, periodic distributions, systematic withdrawals, and claim payouts. Your responsibilities include ensuring a strong control environment, communicating with colleagues across departments, and supporting written communication to advisors and participants. Claims support extends to the notice of death process. Maintain high work standards while reviewing and processing complex financial documents. Process all requests while maintaining quality review and productivity standards. Use customer‑service skills to convey positivity and communicate accurately, in detail and professionally. Learn, understand and interpret product options and determine whether a request is compliant with products, plan, group and IRS regulations. Work in a team environment, develop working relationships inside and outside the organization, share information and ideas, and strive to achieve continuous improvement and increased efficiency. Handle special projects as assigned. Evaluate and resolve escalated and high‑priority situations using research skills and alternative approaches. Set up your own home office and work remotely (until the office re‑opens) with minimal supervision. Tools and equipment are provided. What We Are Looking For Ability to work successfully in a structured, fast‑paced team environment that requires managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Advanced computer knowledge; proficiency with MS Office and strong typing skills. Openness to learning new software applications and experimenting with digital tools. Ability to use dual monitors and conduct research. Availability to work overtime on short notice. Minimum of 2 years of clerical/administrative experience with a demonstrated record of loyalty to previous employers. High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required; college degree preferred. Work Location The position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Amarillo, TX or Houston, TX office and is subject to a hybrid working policy, which allows a blend of office and remote work.
