As we prepare for our highly anticipated grand opening, we are seeking skilled, experienced, and passionate Sushi Chefs to join our culinary team. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their craftsmanship, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment. Our ideal candidates understand that outstanding sushi goes beyond preparation. It requires precision, consistency, beautiful presentation, and dedication to delivering an exceptional guest experience. Key Responsibilities Prepare high-quality sushi rolls, sashimi, nigiri, and specialty dishes in accordance with Sushi Sake recipes and presentation standards. Demonstrate exceptional knife skills, proper fish handling, and precise sushi preparation techniques. Maintain consistent portion sizes, flavor profiles, and visual presentation across all dishes. Ensure the freshness, quality, proper storage, and rotation of seafood and other ingredients. Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient sushi station. Follow established food safety, sanitation, and temperature-control procedures. Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to maintain efficient service during peak business hours. Minimize food waste through proper preparation, inventory management, and portion control. Participate in pre-opening training and become proficient in Sushi Sake's menu, recipes, and operational standards. Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 2 years of professional sushi preparation experience required; 3 or more years preferred. Previous experience as a Sushi Chef in a full-service Japanese or sushi restaurant. Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, fish handling, and Japanese culinary fundamentals. Proficiency in preparing traditional and specialty sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi. Excellent knife skills with strong attention to precision and presentation. Ability to maintain consistency and efficiency in a high-volume restaurant environment. Knowledge of proper food safety and sanitation procedures. Excellent teamwork, communication, and time-management skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Professional attitude, reliability, and willingness to follow franchise standards. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a high-volume sushi restaurant.
