Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant

Location: Providence, RI
Job Type: Full-Time/Hybride

A Providence-based law firm is looking for a Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support attorneys with business, real estate, construction, and medical malpractice litigation matters.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
Manage case files, deadlines, and court schedules
Handle document collection, review, and production
Assist with trial preparation , exhibits, and witness binders
Summarize deposition and trial transcripts
Review and summarize medical records
Locate and communicate with medical experts
Conduct legal research
Prepare legal correspondence and documents

Requirements

1–3+ years of litigation experience
Experience in Rhode Island and/or Massachusetts
Medical malpractice experience preferred
Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery
Familiarity with state and federal court e-filing
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
