State Licensed Legal Director

Leading the commercial function, the full-time remote State Licensed Legal Director will serve as the key legal advisor on commercial transactions, negotiate complex SaaS agreements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support revenue-generating activities. Key responsibilities Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS and professional services contracts Partner with Sales and Services teams to efficiently drive deals to closure while ensuring legal compliance Provide strategic legal guidance on RFPs and government procurement processes, and develop scalable legal processes Required qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited U.S. law school Active membership in at least one state bar, with eligibility to practice in the state of residence 6+ years of legal experience, including a minimum of 3 years in-house at a technology or SaaS company Strong experience negotiating commercial contracts, particularly with government entities Solid understanding of SaaS business models and software licensing
