Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Mid Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (self-scheduling available across day, night, and mid-shift options) | Every other weekend and holiday required | No call or standby requirement

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed Emergency Department with 3 trauma bays, managing a patient ratio of 1:4
• Triage patients as needed in a dedicated triage area and manage care within a fast track environment
• Care for ER hold patients intermixed within the department, including those with complex diagnoses such as trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac conditions
• Interpret and monitor ECG rhythms independently, as no monitor technicians are on unit
• Collaborate with ED physicians, mid-level providers, charge nurses, house supervisors, nurse aides, paramedics, and patient sitters
• Float to other units as qualified; adhere to navy scrub dress code and complete unit-specific orientation

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Current TNCC certification required
• Current PALS or ENPC certification required
• Proficiency with ECG rhythm interpretation
• Ability to perform or oversee phlebotomy draws as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Paragon EMR system
• Familiarity with high-volume emergency environments managing 80–90 patients per day
• Experience caring for trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac patient populations
