Staff Accountant

Amanda Warren with Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a multi-entity accounting team supporting senior living operations in Redding, California. This role is suited for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, manages deadlines effectively, and brings strong knowledge of month-end accounting activities. The ideal candidate will contribute to accurate financial reporting, help coordinate accounting workflow across several locations, and provide day-to-day support on procedural and reporting questions.Responsibilities:• Manage month-end close activities for multiple entities, including journal entries, account analysis, and preparation of financial results.• Review balance sheet accounts and complete reconciliations to ensure records are accurate, complete, and supported.• Prepare and maintain general ledger activity while monitoring transactions for consistency with accounting standards and internal procedures.• Produce recurring financial reports for assigned locations and help ensure reporting is completed within established timelines.• Partner with the accounting team to coordinate priorities, improve monthly output, and support shared performance goals.• Respond to accounting-related questions, resolve reporting issues, and apply sound judgment when procedural decisions are needed.• Assist with bank reconciliations and other cash-related accounting tasks to maintain reliable financial records.• Support the accounting setup and closeout of newly added or transitioning locations as business needs arise.
