Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient and family support and nursing care within the full scope of RN practice on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit
• Participate in the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of patient care programs and services
• Perform observation, data collection, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients' physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs
• Develop and maintain individualized, ongoing plans of care for assigned patients
• Collaborate as an active member of the interdisciplinary care team

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of one year of Medical / Telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Telemetry certification or demonstrated telemetry competency
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, stooping, and kneeling for extended periods

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a combined Medical Surgical and Telemetry environment
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary team-based care models
