Hospice Medical Director

We are actively seeking an experienced, compassionate palliative care/hospice physician to join our team in Suffolk County. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of large team of experts in the field, and a key provider within a nationally recognized, top-quality, patient-centered network. The ideal candidate is licensed, board eligible in palliative care and Hospice and comfortable working with a diverse patient population to help relieve the pain, symptoms and stresses of a chronic illness. You must be able to work collaboratively with other members of the team, and offer strong diagnostic, assessment, and treatment skills reflective of a top-ranked healthcare system. Responsibilities: Certify and recertify hospice eligibility, ensuring timely compliance with Medicare and other regulations. Conduct and supervise face-to-face patient visits, including home consultations for complex cases. Maintain accurate, timely medical documentatino and support regulatory reviews. Collaboriate with hospice leadership on policy development, compliance, and quality assessment and performance improvement (QAP) initiatives. Support educational programs for staff, physicans, and community partners. Compensation: $250,000 - $350,000 The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits.
