Speech Language Pathologist

Position: School Speech Language Pathologist - $5,000 sign on Bonus
Location: Burton, MI and surrounding areas

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a charter school system in Burton, MI, for a dedicated and qualified School Speech Language Pathologist. We have openings for In-Person, Hybrid and Remote roles. CFY's will be considered for in-person roles.

Position Overview: The School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders. This role is essential in promoting students' academic and social success by addressing their individual needs and facilitating effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' needs.
• Provide individual and group therapy sessions to students.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support students' communication needs within the classroom environment.
• Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and contribute to the development of educational goals.
• Educate and support school staff and parents on strategies to facilitate speech and language development.
• Stay current with research and best practices in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Current Michigan State Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
• CFY's will be accepted
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
• Knowledge of various assessment tools and intervention strategies for speech and language disorders.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience in an educational setting is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with school-aged children.
• Familiarity with IEP processes and special education regulations.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Salary Range:

• $65,000 - $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
