Our organization, a distinguished tertiary academic medical center and the home of a regional medical school campus, is in search of a skilled physician leader to take on the role of Division Chair for Vascular Surgery.

This prominent position will influence the strategic vision, clinical excellence, and ongoing development of a top-tier vascular program, which includes a cutting-edge Endovascular OR Suite and a comprehensive Vascular Lab. The Division Chair will spearhead clinical innovation, research, education, and operational efficiency while enhancing quality, faculty growth, and outstanding patient-focused vascular care in alignment with our academic and regional objectives.

• Lead a high-performing vascular surgery division with an emphasis on clinical excellence, innovation, and academic involvement.
• Ensure the delivery of exceptional patient outcomes, safety, accessibility, and experiences in both open and endovascular procedures.
• Recruit, nurture, and mentor faculty and trainees; foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-achieving team environment.
• Oversee operational performance, including resource allocation, workflow enhancement, staffing, and budget oversight.
• Promote quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practices, and robust clinical standards throughout the division.
• Encourage and expand research, scholarly activities, and educational programs within the division and across the organization.
• Collaborate with surgical and medical specialties, administrative leaders, and system partners to enhance integrated vascular care and support the organization's strategic objectives.

• M.D. or D.O. (or equivalent international degree), board certified or board eligible in Vascular Surgery, with eligibility for a Massachusetts medical license.
• A minimum of five years of medical practice demonstrating leadership capabilities and a track record of impactful initiatives.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and strategic leadership abilities.

The salary range for this position is between $650,000.00 and $700,000.00 USD annually. This range reflects the organization's good faith estimate of what it expects to pay for this role at this time. Actual compensation may vary based on several factors, including education, training, relevant experience, specialty, geographical location, productivity, job responsibilities, and other legally permissible factors. Additionally, this position may qualify for performance-based incentives, which could include bonuses related to productivity and quality.
