Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) - Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 12-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12 Hour Night Shifts (20:00 - 08:30). Every other weekend is required, along with holiday coverage as scheduled.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for our busy, non-trauma emergency department. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting, handling a diverse patient population from neonates to geriatrics with various complex diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patients in the emergency room setting.
• Administer medications and perform medical procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.
• Participate in patient education and support families in crisis situations.
• Manage patients in the observation unit with appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of Emergency Department experience required.
• Active RN license in MD or compact state.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute).
• Experience with Epic EMR is preferred.
