Nurse Practitioner

Axia Women's Health, the nation's largest community-based, integrated women's health network, is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join their growing team at Lexington Women's Health, located in Lexington & Nicholasville, Kentucky. The provider team includes six OB/GYN physicians, two GYN physicians, seven nurse practitioners, three certified nurse midwives, and is affiliated with Baptist Health - Lexington. The position is available Monday to Friday.

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - Certified Nurse Practitioner (APRN - CNP) provides comprehensive, specialized care to women across the lifespan, focusing on reproductive health, gynecological issues, family planning, and wellness promotion. The APRN - CNP practices under the standard procedure established for the Nurse Practitioner role consistent with company policy and in accordance with all legal requirements. Responsibilities include conducting age-appropriate assessments, performing routine physical examinations, providing education on women's issues, ordering diagnostic tests, managing symptoms during the menopausal transition, collaborating with the healthcare team, and maintaining effective working relationships with patients and staff.

Qualifications include an active, unrestricted KY APRN-CNP license and DEA, meeting all credentialing requirements, strong understanding of healthcare principles, ability to analyze complex situations, effective communication skills, computer proficiency, and willingness to pursue continuing education. Required education includes a Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing, board certification in WHNP, FNP, or ANP, and minimum one year of experience as an advanced practice provider working in Women's Health.
