This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work schedule. Candidates who live near one of our office locations will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work schedule, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise. Key Responsibilities Project manage the implementation of new, add issue cases and ensure all business partners complete requirements of the sold case process. Project manage the reimplementation of Statutory cases with acquisitions and major changes in account structures, ensuring all business partners complete requirements of the reimplementation process. Accurately gather data and documentation directly from the broker, customer, or Implementation Manager from the point of sale through the finalization of the customer’s implementation. Attend customer/broker kick‑off meetings virtually, working with the IM for co‑mingled or standalone Statutory cases, and create and develop kick‑off materials. Own the completion and retention of implementation documentation. Collaborate with Underwriting on pricing and plan design to ensure sold case proposals match customer needs found during data gathering. Develop finalist materials specific to the implementation process. Present virtually with the IM or alone the implementation process to the customer/broker during the pre‑sale finalist presentation. Adhere to compliance policies and procedures, including but not limited to encryption of emails as appropriate. Actively participate in internal roundtables and consultations with sales executives and internal business partners. Respond to internal/external customer calls and correspondence related to the implementation of sold case and add issues. Follow through on expressed commitment to external/internal customers and, if a commitment cannot be met, provide clear expectations on next steps. Research and resolve customer issues, offering alternative solutions. Consult on benefits, plan designs, and contract language that have been sold to the customer to ensure deliverables meet the customer’s needs. Ensure customer deliverables are delivered accurately and on time. Facilitate PG (Performance Guarantee) negotiations with client/broker and internal disciplines. Draft, negotiate, and distribute initial agreements and applications (PGs, ASOs, LOIs, etc.) and coordinate client signatures and countersignatures. Identify non‑standard language, provisions, or agreements that require consultation with other business units. Develop successful customer/broker relationships over a compressed timeframe to facilitate the implementation. Transition the case to the field‑service team upon completion of the implementation without service disruption to the customer. Mentor and train new team members. Act as overall project leader for other Statutory Implementation Consultants to support large blocks of business. Represent Statutory Implementation in large inter‑departmental projects; new product and service rollouts, compliance/legal issues, and best‑practice procedure changes. Qualifications Statutory product experience required. Prior employee benefit implementation experience. Customer‑facing and finalist meeting experience. 2+ years knowledge of group benefits, life, and disability products, provisions and service offerings. 2+ years group benefit project management and organizational skills required. Demonstrated proficiency in administrative systems (e.g., NSR, Prism/Promise, Case Management, Fusion, WFT, Document Management Folders, SharePoint sites). Ability to develop strategic alliances with various internal and external business partners. Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, MS Project). Effective financial underwriting, marketing, relationship and account management capabilities. Outstanding communication and overall audience assessment. Fosters open communication encouraging team to express thoughts and ideas. Negotiating and influencing — finds compromises between disparate points of view and builds constructive consensus. Develops effective strategic relationships—interacts effectively at all levels both within and outside the company. Works well in ambiguous, 'gray' situations. Strong consultative, critical thinking and problem‑solving skills. Internet Requirements (Remote Positions) High‑speed broadband internet service is required; DSL, wireless, Wi‑Fi, Hotspots, Fiber without a modem and satellite are not supported. Internet provider‑supplied modem/router/gateway must be hard‑wired to the Hartford‑issued computer with an ethernet cable. Minimum upload/download speeds of 75MB download / 10MB upload are required. To confirm system speeds, visit from your personal computer. Compensation The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short‑term or annual bonuses, long‑term incentives, and on‑the‑spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is: $84,400 - $126,600.
