Additionally, this position can be filled at either Level 3 Principal Systems Engineer or Level 4 Sr. Principal Systems Engineer.*Please be aware that this position is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining associated business and/or customer funding. Additionally, this position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. Continued employment thereafter will be subject to maintenance of the level of clearance and program access required for the position in the future.*Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:-Support Autonomy and Fault Management (AFM) development-Support Fault and Autonomy onboard response development-Develop & execute per the development process for Stored Command Sequences-Support development of payload fault management architecture-Support development and execution of verification and validation tests to be used on software simulators, test beds, and to sell-off fault management requirements-Support execution of AFM tests, approve test results and/or reports, and generate requirement verification reports-Experience in or an understanding of AFM test in FSW (Flight Software), SVTB (Space Vehicle Test Bed), and AI&T (Assembly Integration & Test) requiredBasic Qualifications for Level 3 Principal Systems Engineer – Fault Management:-Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 5+ years of engineering experience OR-Master's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 3+ years of engineering experience OR-PhD in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) discipline with 1+ year(s) of engineering experience-Experience in or exposure to System Engineering Autonomy and Fault Management architecture-Experience in or exposure to design, OPSCON, and/or Flight Software-related Launch & Operations with Anomaly Resolution/Recovery background or understanding-Candidate must have active SCI access at time of application with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years and prior to start date OR-Candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance (or equivalent) at time of application with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) completed within the last 5 years and prior to start date as well as the ability to obtain and maintain active SCI access within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.
