Fire Alarm Service Technician

Convergint is looking for a full‑time, enthusiastic, results‑driven, and forward‑thinking Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our culture. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing and programming fire alarm systems. What You’ll Do Act as Convergint’s best service provider at all times, ensuring the company is the customer’s first choice. Assist in testing, programming, and commissioning fire alarm and life safety systems. Assist in servicing fire alarm and life safety systems. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software and systems, programming of fire alarm systems, schematics, and operational/product manuals. Execute all work in accordance with local and national codes, best practices, and company health and safety policies. Communicate and work with team members consistently to improve overall operations. Keep up to date on all company policies. Present a professional image of Convergint at all times in appearance and behavior. What You’ll Need Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure. Solid technical skills related to fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems. Solid programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and find solutions. Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude (e.g., works with hand and power tools). A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Requirements Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. Minimum 3‑5 years as a fire alarm service technician with experience programming EST 3 or EST 4 (Edwards) fire alarm systems or similar complexity. Preferred: 2 years of hands‑on experience in the commercial/industrial/low‑voltage/electrical industry. NICET II Certification in Fire Alarm (preferred).
