Used Car ManagerThe Used Car Manager oversees the used car inventory, acquires used vehicles for the dealership and establishes pricing based on market conditions and dealership goals.Salary Range: $72,000 to $120,000Core Responsibilities:Maintain used car inventory; manage physical and online inventoryMeet monthly forecast for used car sales volume sustaining sufficient gross to meet profit objectives.Appraise all incoming used vehicles; ensure that cosmetic and mechanical reconditioning is performed within the dealership’s cost and time limitationsKeep informed of auto auction activity and prices; attend auctions on a regular basisEstablish processes and controls wholesaling activitiesEnhance customer satisfaction during the entire purchase experienceCommunicate daily with sales management team regarding anything relevant to used car targets and inventoryKnow and understand the federal, state and local laws which govern retail automotive saleOther duties as assignedJob Requirements:2+ years of Automotive Sales Management experience (USED CAR MANAGEMENT PREFERRED)Ability to work independently and be self-motivatedKnowledge of the local market and auctionsExcellent customer service and communication skillsProfessional appearance and work ethicAbility to work well in a process driven environmentClean driver’s license and must be insurable through liability insurance company Physical DemandsMust be able to remain in stationary position 80%Frequently works in outdoor weather conditionsAdhere to the Rochester Motor Cars mission, vision and values in all situations.Follow and utilize the Rochester Motor Cars philosophy of 1-2-3-4-5.Customer EnthusiasmEmployee SatisfactionFinancial PerformanceMarket EffectivenessOngoing Improvement“Grow people, make friends and do good.”Exhibit personal excellence by setting high standard of performance.
