RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work day shifts with 36 or 48-hour schedules (schedule may change during interview)
• Patient ratios of 1:4/5 for days, nights, and weekends using team nursing model
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• On-call responsibilities as needed
• Work in a 48-bed cardiac stepdown unit with daily census of 32 patients
• Provide care for patients requiring bedside and telemetry monitoring
• Monitor cardiac, pulmonary, and other disease processes
• Care for patients requiring more than standard medical/surgical care but less than intensive care
• May float between like units and campuses within 20 miles
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Required skills: Telemetry, IV Start
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required (3+ years preferred)
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Travel experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall during assignment
• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
• Must live at least 100 miles from facility

This is a Level I Trauma Center providing short-term acute care services with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams. The cardiac stepdown unit features 48 private beds equipped for bedside and telemetry monitoring, designed to provide high-quality care and customer satisfaction through continuous monitoring and process improvements.
