Job Overview

Are you passionate about pizza? Sandbridge Island Restaurant is looking for a skilled Pizza Cook to take charge of our pizza station! From hand-stretching dough to managing high-heat ovens, you will be responsible for crafting our signature pizzas and hot appetizers during busy summer rushes and local neighborhood nights.

Responsibilities

• Pizza Preparation: Hand-stretch dough, apply sauces, cheeses, and toppings accurately according to house recipes and customer modifications.
• Oven Management: Monitor and manage pizza oven temperatures, rotation, and cook times to ensure perfect crust texture and appearance.
• Prep & Inventory: Prepare daily dough batches, slice toppings, make house sauces, and maintain stock levels at the pizza station throughout the shift.
• Ticket Flow: Read and organize kitchen tickets efficiently, ensuring pizza orders are timed accurately with the rest of the line's ticket items.
• Sanitation & Safety: Follow all local food safety regulations, keep the pizza prep area spotless, and properly store temperature-sensitive toppings.
• Station Care: Clean and maintain pizza ovens, prep tables, dough sheeters/mixers, and pizza tools daily.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience stretching, topping, and baking pizzas in a commercial kitchen or pizzeria preferred.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with pizza ovens (deck, conveyor, or wood-fired), dough handling, and high-heat cooking techniques.
• Pace & Focus: Ability to maintain speed, quality, and focus during high-volume lunch and dinner rushes.
• Stamina & Skill: Strong manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and the ability to stand for extended periods in a high-heat environment.
• Teamwork: Positive attitude and a strong commitment to supporting fellow line cooks and kitchen staff.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Show up on time and ready to work.
• Fallow strict guidelines and pay and pay close attention to detail.
