Dietary AideAssist in food preparation and serving; maintain clean and sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining areas under the supervision of the Dietary Director.Benefits and perks include health insurance, dental and vision, 401k, tuition reimbursement through ECPI, 1.5 holiday pay, 1.5 overtime pay for every hour worked over 40 hours per week, employee recognition programs, and daily pay.Essential duties and responsibilities include meeting physical and sensory requirements, identifying and participating in process improvement initiatives, assisting in the preparation and serving of meals and snacks, setting up trays and delivering meals to residents, setting up serving line with cold foods, condiments, serving containers, dishes, silverware, etc. according to the menus and as instructed, working on central tray service line, placing appropriate food on general and modified diet trays, as directed, delivering loaded food carts to corridor and returning unloaded carts to dish washing unit, collecting soiled trays and utensils from dining room tables and transporting them to dish washing area, washing dishes, cleaning equipment, wiping off dining room and worktables, cleaning utensils, pots and pans, mopping floors in dietary, etc., as assigned, cleaning and maintaining kitchen and food preparation equipment, washing, sanitizing, and storing trays, dishes and utensils, stocking and storing food items, as assigned, maintaining a level of food and supplies adequate for the next meal and assisting in inventorying and storing incoming foods and supplies, reporting hazardous conditions, equipment, accidents and incidents, as necessary, and other special projects and duties, as assigned.Job requirements include a high school diploma or GED required or equivalent related work experience, experience in hospital or long-term care facility dietary department preferred, effective verbal and written English communication skills, highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality, ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives, customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure, strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity, strong analytical and problem solving skills, ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions, ability to deal with new tasks without the benefit of written procedures, approachable, flexible and adaptable to change, function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with employees and vendors.Physical and sensory requirements include moderate physical activity: push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds to a minimum height of three (3) feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty (50) feet, standing and/or walking for more than eight (8) hours per day, bending and/or stooping for more than one (1) hour at a time.About Eastern Healthcare Group: Eastern Health Group is a family of skilled nursing facilities and rehabilitation centers.
