Retail Security Officer – M&S Location: Manchester Trafford Salary – £13.58 per hour Guaranteed 40+ hours per week Join M&S as a Security Officer, where you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, welcoming and secure environment for our customers and colleagues. You'll be a visible presence in store, helping customers feel supported while playing an important role in keeping the business safe and secure. Key Responsibilities Operate in a fast-paced retail environment, staying alert, responsive and ready to step in when needed. Provide customer service and create a welcoming store environment, greeting customers and delivering professional support. Help keep our stores safe and secure: prevent loss, respond to incidents, identify risks and support safe ways of working. Use store technology, including mobile reporting systems and body-worn cameras, to support store operations and incident management. Stay calm under pressure, responding to challenging situations and supporting emergency procedures. Work closely with store colleagues to maintain high standards, support operations and create a positive environment for everyone. Adapt quickly to changing situations and support the store when needed. What we're looking for Previous security experience is preferred. A valid SIA licence is desirable, although not essential. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A calm, confident and professional approach. A proactive mindset with the ability to make sound decisions quickly. A genuine passion for customer service and keeping people safe. Important Information All candidates must be able to provide a 5-year checkable work history within the UK.
