RN - Observation Unit

Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Observation Unit team. This role involves providing high-quality care to postoperative surgical patients and those requiring medical observation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and monitor patients in the Short Stay Observation Unit.
• Care for special populations, including total knee and hip replacements, ENT surgeries, and cholecystectomies.
• Manage patients with diagnoses such as syncope, abdominal pain, shortness of breath, generalized weakness, transient ischemic attacks, and dizziness.
• Float to similar units as necessary to meet patient care needs.
• Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license, with BLS and IA or Compact License required.
• Previous experience in an EPIC system is essential.
• Experience working with postoperative surgical and medical observation populations is preferred.

Shift Information

This position is a night shift role, requiring three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
