Assistant General Manager

Gerber Group is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operation of a high-volume hospitality venue. The AGM will help lead the team, maintain service and operational standards, manage costs, and ensure an exceptional guest experience. 

Key Responsibilities

• Support the GM in all aspects of daily operations, including staffing, service, cleanliness, maintenance, atmosphere, and overall venue readiness.
• Lead and develop front-of-house employees, including training, scheduling, performance management, and coaching.
• Maintain a strong presence on the floor and ensure consistent execution of Gerber Group service and hospitality standards.
• Monitor sales, labor, inventory, comps, voids, and other operating costs while identifying opportunities to improve performance.
• Build relationships with guests, resolve issues professionally, and create a welcoming environment.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, liquor, and employment regulations.
• Maintain accurate daily reporting and management logs.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding employees.
• Communicate operational issues promptly and work closely with the GM and senior management.
• Stay current on hospitality trends and continually look for ways to improve the operation and guest experience.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hospitality management or supervisory experience , preferably in a high-volume, full-service bar or restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of POS systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and a flexible schedule.
• Alcohol Awareness, Food Handler, and other required state or local certifications.
• Ability to remain on the floor for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
