Travel RN - Telemetry - Stepdown

American Traveler is hiring a Stepdown RN for a night shift position requiring SC or compact RN license and prior ICU or Stepdown experience.

Work in the Stepdown unit of a 12-bed facility

Patient ratio of 1:4

Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7p-7a, with holiday rotation

Every other weekend required

No on-call requirements

Floating required within scope to sister units/facilities as needed, with agency staff floated first

Epic EMR used, experience preferred

Active SC or Compact RN license required in hand prior to start

BLS and ACLS certification required

NIHSS certification preferred

Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required

Prior ICU and/or Stepdown experience required

Driver's license and SSN required for consideration

Provide direct patient care in a stepdown/telemetry setting including cardiac monitoring, respiratory management, and neurological care

Scrub color required: royal blue

Free parking available on-site

During hurricane season (JuneNovember, peaking AugustSeptember), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams

First-time travelers accepted if they have prior ICU and/or Stepdown experience

Previous MUSC perm or PRN staff must be separated from the system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

Local candidates within 60 miles are not accepted; non-local candidates are prioritized

Block scheduling requests may be considered but are not guaranteed

All requested time off must be submitted at time of application for approval consideration
