Receiving & Loading Associate

Pay Range $16.00 to $18.00 per hour Employment Eligibility Verified through E-Verify Job Summary Red White & Blue Thrift is seeking a dedicated Supply Chain Associate to load, unload, organize, and lift items such as clothing, furniture, and miscellaneous donations. The role supports operations behind the scenes, assists with donation pick-ups, and efficiently fills trailers to maximize storage. It requires teamwork, stamina, adaptability, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Key Responsibilities Load, unload, and organize donations such as clothing, furniture, and other household items. Fill trailers with donations, ensuring items are stacked and secured to maximize space and efficiency. Assist drivers on routes for donation pick-ups, helping to load and secure items. Maintain organized inventory by categorizing and placing items in designated areas. Support overall thrift store operations by promptly responding to demands and requests. Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and productive work processes. Take direction well and complete tasks accurately to support overall team goals. Work comfortably in various weather conditions as needed for loading and unloading tasks. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Ability to work in a busy, fast‑paced environment, maintaining a steady pace throughout shifts. Team‑oriented attitude with strong communication and collaboration skills. Reliable and able to take direction well from supervisors and team leaders. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and carry it for short distances. Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, with extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Visual acuity to read road signs, maps, and operating instructions. Good hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling bags and boxes. Strong back and abdominal muscles to maintain proper posture while lifting heavy objects. Ability to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow. Good hearing to detect warning signals and communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors. Work Environment Dynamic, consistently busy atmosphere requiring stamina and adaptability. Noisy environment, requiring the ability to work effectively in noise. Bright lighting throughout the store; ability to work in bright conditions. Regular interactions with customers, donors, and coworkers; requires effective communication and interpersonal skills. High flexibility; may be asked to switch tasks based on operational needs and work in all areas as assigned. Language Requirements Basic understanding of written and spoken English for comprehending instructions and communicating with customers, donors, and colleagues.
