A Typical Day for a Food & Beverage Team Member with Heritage House:

• You will have the opportunity to directly and positively impact the health and wellbeing of the people you serve
• As a café worker, your day will be dynamic and customer-focused. Here's a glimpse into what a typical day might look like:
  
  
  1. Morning Prep
     
     • Arrive early to set up the café, ensuring the space is clean and inviting.
     • Prepare coffee machines, stock pastries, and check inventory for supplies
     • Review the menu and any daily specials.
  2. Customer Service
     
     • Greet customers warmly as they enter the café.
     • Take orders at the counter , offering recommendations when needed.
     • Handle payments and maintain accuracy in transactions.
  3. Beverage and Food Preparation
     
     • Prepare high-quality meals according to customer requests.
     • Plate and serve baked goods, snacks, or light meals quickly and neatly.
  4. Maintaining the Café
     
     • Keep the café tidy by clearing tables, washing dishes, and restocking supplies.
     • Monitor cleanliness and adhere to health and safety standards.
  5. Engagement and Problem-Solving
     
     • Engage with customers to create a welcoming atmosphere.
     • Address any customer concerns or issues professionally and efficiently.
  6. End-of-Day Tasks
     
     • Clean and close down equipment.
     • Restock and prepare for the next day's operations.
  
  Throughout the day, café workers collaborate as a team to ensure smooth operations and a positive customer experience. Flexibility and multitasking are key, as you'll shift between roles depending on the café's needs.

Open Shifts Available

• Full-Time:Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm
