Voice Actor – German Speakers (AI Training)
About The Role
What if your voice could directly shape how AI communicates with millions of German speakers around the world? We're looking for professional voice actors and voice-over artists to record high-quality German audio and evaluate AI-generated speech - helping frontier AI systems sound more natural, expressive, and authentically human.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background needed - just a great voice, a quiet space to record, and a passion for quality. This work does not involve voice cloning.
- Organization: Alignerr
- Type: Hourly Contract
- Location: Remote
- Commitment: Flexible, asynchronous schedule
What You'll Do
- Record high-quality voice samples in German based on provided scripts and prompts
- Evaluate AI-generated voice outputs for naturalness, pronunciation, tone, and expressiveness
- Provide clear, constructive feedback to help improve AI-generated speech
- Review and refine scripts to ensure clarity and natural-sounding delivery
- Work independently and asynchronously - fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Fluent in German - native or near-native speakers strongly preferred
- Experienced in voice acting, narration, audiobook recording, dubbing, or similar fields
- Equipped with a high-quality microphone and a quiet, controlled recording environment
- Able to deliver clear, expressive, and engaging performances across a range of styles and tones
- Detail-oriented when it comes to assessing pronunciation, pacing, and vocal quality
- No prior AI or tech background required
Nice to Have
- Experience with broadcast, commercial, e-learning, or podcast voice work
- Familiarity with audio editing or recording software
- Awareness of regional German pronunciation variations (e.g. Austrian, Swiss German)
- Background in linguistics, drama, communications, or performance
Why Join Us
- Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs and Fortune 500 teams
- Fully remote and flexible - record from your own studio, on your own schedule
- Freelance autonomy with the structure of clear, task-based work
- Make a direct, meaningful impact on how AI understands and produces human speech
- High-performing contributors are first in line for new programs and expanded opportunities
- Gain genuine exposure to how advanced AI language models are trained and evaluated
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension as new projects launch
