Communication Specialist Annapolis, Maryland Covenant Annapolis MSO, LLC Category Communications Job ID 93215 Status Full-Time/Regular Salary Range $18.33 - $24.50 per Hour The Patient Access Rep provides patient telephone and medical record support for both the professional office and the surgery center. Under the supervision of the Communications Team Lead, the employee will adhere to and comply with the Code of Conduct, Human Resource Policies and Procedures, Operational Policy and Procedure Manual, HIPAA Compliance, Patient Bill of Rights, and the Corporate Compliance Plan. Answers the various phone lines and greets the caller with the name of the practice and the name of the person answering the call. Direct the calls to appropriate department. Schedule appointments and take messages according to company protocol. Provide patients with prep instructions and directions to the office. Answer messages from the patient portal. Assist with appointment reminders. Assist with Recalls. Responds/Forwards email messages as per protocol. Management of the Input Manager, including but not limited to: Indexing all documents into the Input Manager (Except Procedure Reports, Pathology, and Front Desk). Scanning all AAGA Clinical Documents into the Input Manager. Participates in company initiatives. Assist with other duties and tasks as assigned by the Team Lead/Director of Medical Surgical Operations, as well as other tasks in accordance with departmental policy and procedure. Required Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent. At least one year experience as a Telephone Receptionist. Knowledge of the various insurance's helpful. Prior knowledge of Microsoft Office, primarily Word and Excel. Experience with Allscripts or similar patient management software preferred.
