We’re looking for professionals who think like owners and want to be part of shaping a high-growth firm.Position Details:Classification: Full-time; ExemptDepartment: Deal Advisory ServicesLocation: Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, or HoustonOffice expectations: Monday – Thursday in office; remote on Fridays, if desired; general work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8 hours/day between 8am to 5pm with overtime, as needed.What You Will DoParticipate in and lead financial due diligence engagements related to mergers and acquisitions by private equity investors and corporate buyersAnalyze financial/operational results of target companies through reviewing accounting information and conducting interviews with managementPrepare/evaluate pro forma financial informationAnalyze financial/operational results of target companies through reviewing accounting information and conducting interviews with managementEvaluate effects of seasonality and cyclicality on cash flow requirementsAssist with writing detailed reports and perform financial statement analysis, including the quality of earnings, potential liabilities and risks, and the impact of findings on the valuation of the target companyProvide advisory services to clients to assist them in maximizing their financial opportunities and manage the risks involved with possible mergers and acquisitionsMember of engagement teams with senior client executives, attorneys, investment bankers, and private equity investorsGrow skills to reinforce relationships with current and prospective clients of the firmWhat You Need to Get HereBachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree preferredCPA license or CPA eligibility preferred2-3 years of experience in one of the following areas with a public accounting or advisory firm: accounting, advisory, financial audit, or transaction advisory services experience (experience related to mergers and acquisitions or financial due diligence preferred)Strong current knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), mergers and acquisitions, or transaction servicesAbility to independently manage multiple projects and act autonomously while being a team playerCapable of independently performing research of industries, markets, economies, etc.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office, primarily ExcelWillingness and ability to travel when necessaryWhy Whitley PennOur total rewards are incredibly competitive.
