Hospital Phlebotomist - 1st Shift

Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for first-shift hospital work in Birmingham, Alabama, performing blood collections and specimen processing. The role requires minimum six months phlebotomy experience and a high school diploma, with preferred certification or additional experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests and related analyses
• Accurately enter patient information and maintain specimen logs
• Process billing information and collect patient payments when required
• Provide exceptional customer service and support administrative duties as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Six months or more phlebotomy experience
• Phlebotomy certification or completed accredited training program preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
