7on/7off Hospital Phlebotomist - 1st Shift

Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for hospital-based blood collection in Birmingham, Alabama, working a 7-on/7-off schedule on first shift. The role involves performing venipuncture and capillary collections, processing specimens, and maintaining patient records while delivering customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests and similar analyses
• Enter patient information accurately and maintain specimen logs
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare specimens for testing and deliver exceptional customer service to patients

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6 months or more phlebotomy experience
• Phlebotomy certification or completed accredited training program preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Pass standardized color blindness test
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
