Assistant Nurse Manager - Operating Room

The Role Overview The Assistant Nurse Manager is a registered nurse responsible for managing clinical and operational activities within a designated shift under the supervision of the unit director/manager. This leadership role involves supporting planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services, ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements. The ANM oversees both clinical and non‑clinical caregivers, provides coaching and mentorship, and collaborates to deliver high‑quality patient care in a hospital setting. Responsibilities Manage daily clinical and operational activities within the assigned shift Support the planning and evaluation of unit services Ensure compliance with policies, clinical priorities, and regulatory standards Coach, mentor, and collaborate with staff to promote quality healthcare Provide managerial presence across shifts to support staff and patient safety Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BS or BSN); current California RN license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Preferred: recent acute care clinical experience, operating room leadership, and shared governance experience Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills Key Attributes Leadership in clinical settings and staff management Commitment to excellent patient care and regulatory compliance Ability to mentor and develop team members Adaptability to variable shifts and fast‑paced environments #J-18808-Ljbffr Apex Home Health, Hospice & Home Care
