Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team and provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage a telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:6, ensuring high-quality care for adult and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans for patients with acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient management.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings to provide timely interventions.
• Utilize hospital systems and technology, including electronic health records, for accurate and efficient patient documentation.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
• Float to other units as necessary, including intermediate care and emergency department, to support overall patient care needs.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in the state.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Experience in telemetry is essential.
• Ability to handle a 1:6 patient ratio effectively.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Work Schedule

This position requires working three 12-hour shifts weekly, with potential weekend shifts as part of the rotation. Flexibility in scheduling may be required based on patient care needs.

Unit Information

The unit consists of 40 beds, and we care for patients undergoing various procedures, including total joint replacements and management of acute conditions. Candidates should be prepared to manage a diverse patient population with unique medical requirements.
