Provides financial, clerical and administrative services to ensure efficient and accurate payment of accounts. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.Essential duties and Responsibilities:Reviews, sorts and matches invoices and checks requests, ensuring proper approval prior to paymentSets invoices up for paymentPrepares and processes accounts payable checksVerifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactionsMonitors accounts to ensure payments are up to dateResearches and corrects invoice discrepanciesMaintains files and documentations thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.Corresponds with vendors and responds to inquiries.Produces monthly reportsAssists in month end closingComply with company's safety rules and sanitation standards.Necessary Skills and Qualifications:Thorough knowledge of accounts payable and general bookkeeping proceduresHigh School or GED equivalentMust be able to set priorities, organize and accomplish tasks often within strict time limitationsAbility to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timelinessMust be extremely organized and motivated, pay excellent attention to detail, and possess strong verbal, written, and computer skills, including a high proficiency in Microsoft applications.Must be able to multi-task, have a positive attitude, and a great work ethicStrong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills, able to manager priorities and workflowExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsPreferred but not required bilingual skills (English and Spanish)Intermediate reading and writing skillsProfessional appearance and demeanor.Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.Work Environment:The work environment is appropriate and comfortable to perform the main functions work.
