Credit Manager

Credit Manager – Platt Team Location: Beaverton, OR We are looking for a Credit Manager to join our Platt team. The Credit Manager is responsible for the collection and analysis of credit information and financial data to extend trade lines on credit, ensure payments are collected, and work with Sales Managers to review troubled accounts. Responsibilities Collect and analyze credit information and financial data in accordance with credit policy and applicable laws to extend trade lines on credit. Ensure payments are collected within the terms of sale, via direct customer contact and account monitoring for an assigned portfolio of customers. Achieve monthly cash collection goals. Initiate and moderate monthly accounts receivable meetings with Area Sales Managers to review aging reports and discuss resolutions for troubled accounts. Review area results with the Regional Credit Manager and complete specific objectives as assigned. Meet with customers and sales associates in their territory and provide customer service as required to enhance customer relations. Periodically reconcile customer accounts as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications 4+ years of equivalent experience. Construction or related trade/supply experience a plus. High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred. Proven track record in trade accounts receivable, credit and collections within a repetitive market. Sound judgment in decision making. Ability to understand and analyze financial reports and make credit recommendations. Commitment to adhere to and promote credit policy. Excellent interpersonal skills. Effective time management and organizational skills. Technical proficiency in Excel, Word and internet searches. Overnight travel to the area of responsibility. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment efficiently. Knowledge of Mechanic's liens and bond regulations. Get Paid collection software experience a plus. Analytical skills to identify trends and interpret financial data. Physical Demands Sit: Must be able to remain in a stationary position – at least 51%. Walk: Must be able to move within and outside office – 21% to 50%. Use hands to finger, handle, or feel: Operate computer and office machinery – at least 51%. Talk, hear, taste, smell: Use senses to communicate and detect hazardous conditions – at least 51%. Weight & Force Demands Up to 10 pounds – occasionally (up to 20%).
