Postpartum Registered Nurse
Location: Seattle, WA
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Postpartum Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in newborn care, including but not limited to assessments, vital signs, glucose screening, baths, complex feeds, and phototherapy.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and care for postpartum patients and their newborns.
- Administer medications including magnesium and insulin infusions.
- Provide patient education on breastfeeding and postpartum care.
- Conduct newborn assessments and screenings.
- Perform complex feeding techniques and manage phototherapy sessions.
- Attend to the needs of patients with varying conditions and complications.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient support.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a postpartum or related setting.
- Current BLS certification is required.
- Experience with EPIC charting is preferred.
- Must be skilled in managing magnesium, insulin, PCA/PCEA, and heparin infusions.
